I found this show very interesting. It amazes me that 33,741 American Soldiders can be killed and 7,275 were taken prisoner of war yet America still does not recognize it as an official war. In the US the war was officially described as a police action (a Korean Conflict). To others it is known as the Forgotten War. This audio focuses on Charles Barrow who was a navy medic during the war. He went to war because his brother was an active military man and his parents wanted him to go along to protect him. He talks about this one time when there was a wounded Korean solider (the enemy) and he was trying to heal him as he was trained to do but his sargent suggested that he just leave him there, but being afraid that the sargent would just kill him he choose not to leave.

the other reason that he did not leave the North Korean was because it was his duty as a corps man to care for the wounded, not matter what side they fought. He knew if he left him that he would be going against what he had sworn to do. He could not do that even though it meant that he was saving the enemies life so to speak.
